The front control arm ball joint mounting points on BMW subframes are subjected to constant load from braking, cornering, and suspension travel. Over time—especially on E30s with sticky tires and stiffer suspension that see heavy track use—the factory sheet metal around these mounting points can fatigue, deform, or crack.

Our Front Subframe Ball Joint Reinforcement Plates are designed to strengthen this area by reinforcing the ball joint mounts and distributing suspension loads into a larger section of the subframe. Rather than relying on thin factory sheet metal alone, the plates add structure where repeated stress is known to accumulate.

Precision cut from steel, these plates are intended to be welded in and integrated into the subframe. They are a smart preventative upgrade during subframe service, bushing replacement, or suspension overhaul—and a practical solution for higher-load applications.
