Reinforcement Plates, Rear Subframe/Chassis - E46

Rear subframe cracking is a well-documented issue on the E46 chassis. As mileage, grip, and suspension loads increase, stress concentrates at the rear subframe mounting points where the factory sheet metal can fatigue, crack, or tear from the chassis.

Our Rear Subframe / Chassis Reinforcement Plates are designed to address this problem by reinforcing the mounting areas and distributing loads into a larger section of the chassis. Rather than masking damage, these plates add structure where the E46 needs it most—whether as a preventative upgrade or as part of a proper repair.

Precision cut from .125" (1/8") steel, the plates are intended to be welded in and fully integrated into the chassis. They’re best installed during subframe service or repair, and are well-suited for cars that see spirited street driving, sticky tires, and track use.
